Day 1: Arrival – Colombo

Ayubowan! Welcome to Sri Lanka. Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your World Travel Centre representative before transferring to Colombo. Relax at your hotel or explore the vibrant capital before beginning your Ramayana pilgrimage.

Day 2: Colombo – Chilaw – Trincomalee

Begin your journey along the sacred Ramayana Trail with visits to Munneswaram Temple, where Lord Rama is believed to have worshipped Lord Shiva after defeating Ravana, and Manavari Temple, home to the first Shiva Lingam established by Lord Rama. Continue to Thiru Koneswaram Temple in Trincomalee, a magnificent cliff-top shrine closely associated with King Ravana and the Ramayana legend.

Day 3: Trincomalee – Kandy

Travel to Sri Lanka's cultural capital, Kandy, where you'll visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the country's most treasured religious landmarks. In the evening, enjoy an authentic Kandyan cultural dance performance, showcasing Sri Lanka's vibrant traditions.

Day 4: Discover Kandy

Spend the day exploring Kandy's cultural attractions, scenic surroundings, and peaceful atmosphere. Wander through local markets, admire the city's historic charm, or simply relax while preparing for the next stage of your Ramayana journey.

Day 5: Kandy – Ramboda – Nuwara Eliya

Journey into Sri Lanka's breathtaking hill country, stopping at the sacred Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple in Ramboda. Continue to Seetha Amman Temple, believed to mark the place where Princess Sita was held captive, and visit Hakgala Botanical Garden, traditionally associated with Ravana's legendary Ashok Vatika. Complete the day with visits to Gregory Lake, Victoria Park, and the region's scenic waterfalls.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya – Ella

Day 8: Kataragama – Galle – Bentota

Journey along Sri Lanka's southern coastline, stopping in the historic city of Galle to explore its UNESCO-listed fort and colonial charm. Continue to Rumassala Hill, believed to be a fragment of the Himalayan mountain carried by Hanuman while searching for the Sanjeevani herb, before arriving in Bentota for a relaxing evening by the sea.
