Day 1: Arrival – Colombo

Ayubowan! Welcome to Sri Lanka. Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your World Travel Centre representative before transferring to Colombo. Relax after your journey or explore the city's vibrant atmosphere before beginning your Ramayana pilgrimage.

Day 2: Colombo – Kelaniya – Chilaw – Trincomalee

Begin your spiritual journey with a visit to Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya, a site associated with the Ramayana. Continue to Manavari Temple, believed to be the first Shiva Lingam installed by Lord Rama, followed by the sacred Munneswaram Temple. En route to Trincomalee, stop at the historic Ritigala, a mountain linked to the Ramayana legend.

Day 3: Trincomalee – Kandy

Visit the magnificent Thiru Koneswaram Temple, one of Sri Lanka's most important Hindu temples overlooking the Indian Ocean. Continue to the Kanniya Hot Water Springs, believed to have connections to the Ramayana, before relaxing along the beautiful Trincomalee coastline. Later, travel to Kandy.

Day 4: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, journey through Sri Lanka's scenic hill country to Nuwara Eliya. Visit the sacred Gayathri Peedam and the revered Seetha Amman Temple, believed to be the place where Princess Sita was held during the Ramayana. Enjoy the cool climate and breathtaking landscapes of the hill country.

Day 5: Explore the Ramayana Trail

Continue your pilgrimage with a visit to Divurumpola, where Sita is believed to have undergone the Agni Pariksha. Explore the surrounding landscapes and immerse yourself in the spiritual significance of this revered location.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya – Kataragama

Travel south towards Kataragama, passing through scenic countryside and sacred landmarks associated with the Ramayana. Upon arrival, experience the peaceful atmosphere of one of Sri Lanka's most important multi-faith pilgrimage destinations.

Day 7: Kataragama – Galle – Bentota

Visit the sacred Kataragama Temple before exploring the Madunagala Hot Water Wells, Ussangoda National Park, Gal Ge in Dondra, and Rumassala, believed to be associated with the legendary Sanjeevani mountain. Continue to Seenigama Temple before arriving in the coastal town of Bentota.

Day 8: Bentota – Colombo – Departure

Enjoy a relaxing morning by the beach before travelling to Colombo for a city tour and shopping experience. Afterwards, transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your onward journey, taking home unforgettable memories of Sri Lanka's sacred Ramayana sites and cultural treasures.
